How do I manage and track gift card sales in kleesto?
All gift card activity is visible inside the kleesto Promotions section. You can see every card issued — including who purchased it, the original value, how much has been redeemed, and the remaining balance. The full redemption history for each card is shown alongside linked bookings and payment records, making it easy to reconcile gift card revenue and track outstanding balances at any time.
How does the gift card recipient receive their card?
Gift card recipients receive a branded email containing their unique gift card code and current balance immediately after the purchase is completed — no manual steps are needed. If the card was bought as a gift, the purchaser also receives a confirmation email. Recipients can then use their code directly when booking through your kleesto public page, automatically reducing the total amount due.
Can a gift card be used across multiple bookings?
Yes. Gift cards in kleesto work as prepaid balance cards. If a customer receives a €100 gift card and books a €60 experience, the remaining €40 stays on the card and can be used for future bookings. The full redemption history is tracked automatically, so both you and the card holder always know the current balance. A single card can be partially redeemed multiple times until the balance reaches zero.
How do digital gift cards work in kleesto?
With kleesto’s Digital Gift Cards feature, your customers can purchase a gift card directly from your public booking page. They choose a value, add a personal message, pay online, and the recipient receives a beautifully designed email with their gift card code and current balance. The recipient redeems the card when making a booking — the balance is automatically deducted, and every redemption is tracked in real time inside your kleesto dashboard.
What are the credit card fees/payment processing rates?
kleesto takes credit card data security very seriously. For that reason, we use Stripe to securely handle credit card transactions and payments.
